It's the weekend! Finally. I've been checking for plane tickets for Ryan to come for a visit... they are so expensive! Why do flights have to be so expensive, so many people fly everyday, you'd think they would make money. But with the cost of fuel going up, I'm sure they have to find the money somewhere.
Tonight will be fun for a little bit, but after I hang out with Staci I have to come back and get back to work. I have a lot of reading to do and I want to get it done before I start getting overwhelmed with reporting. I'm just hoping I did well on our In-class Assignment. I kind of forget how to do that stuff, so I suppose I better learn.
Tomorrow is the first football game of the year and I am so excited. It's only Hawaii, but I still get nervous every game and it will be fun because it's the first year.
I just wanted to comment a little bit on the Democratic Convention and also on Mccain's choice for Vice President.
For one, I feel that Barack Obama had an amazing speech Thursday night and hopefully brings a lot of voters back to the democratic base.
I feel that the choice of Palin is a desperate one. To choose someone with less experience than Obama while the entire argument has been that Obama has little experience reeks of desperation. It is also unbelievable to think that women will simply vote for this woman simply because of her anatomy and not because of her beliefs. If you call yourself a democrat how can you pick someone who completely opposes all that you believe in. For all women out there, she is not like Hillary Clinton, and if you are truly a Hillary Clinton supporter, you would follow her advice and vote for the candidate that best embodies the beliefs and direction that this country needs to go in. If the Republican party thinks it is just that easy, I pray, for the sake of our country, that the women of this nation prove them wrong.
