I had to wait until Wednesday to post because I wanted to wait for the election results.

Here are just some of my favorite quotes from his acceptance speech:

If there is anyone out there who still doubts that America is a place where all things are possible, who still wonders if the dream of our founders is alive in our time, who still questions the power of our democracy, tonight is your answer.

And I know you didn't do this just to win an election. And I know you didn't do it for me.

You did it because you understand the enormity of the task that lies ahead. For even as we celebrate tonight, we know the challenges that tomorrow will bring are the greatest of our lifetime -- two wars, a planet in peril, the worst financial crisis in a century.

There will be setbacks and false starts. There are many who won't agree with every decision or policy I make as president. And we know the government can't solve every problem.

But I will always be honest with you about the challenges we face. I will listen to you, especially when we disagree. And, above all, I will ask you to join in the work of remaking this nation, the only way it's been done in America for 221 years -- block by block, brick by brick, calloused hand by calloused hand.

This victory alone is not the change we seek. It is only the chance for us to make that change. And that cannot happen if we go back to the way things were.

It can't happen without you, without a new spirit of service, a new spirit of sacrifice.

So let us summon a new spirit of patriotism, of responsibility, where each of us resolves to pitch in and work harder and look after not only ourselves but each other.

In this country, we rise or fall as one nation, as one people. Let's resist the temptation to fall back on the same partisanship and pettiness and immaturity that has poisoned our politics for so long.

Let's remember that it was a man from this state who first carried the banner of the Republican Party to the White House, a party founded on the values of self-reliance and individual liberty and national unity.

Those are values that we all share. And while the Democratic Party has won a great victory tonight, we do so with a measure of humility and determination to heal the divides that have held back our progress.

To those -- to those who would tear the world down: We will defeat you. To those who seek peace and security: We support you. And to all those who have wondered if America's beacon still burns as bright: Tonight we proved once more that the true strength of our nation comes not from the might of our arms or the scale of our wealth, but from the enduring power of our ideals: democracy, liberty, opportunity and unyielding hope.

America, we have come so far. We have seen so much. But there is so much more to do. So tonight, let us ask ourselves -- if our children should live to see the next century; if my daughters should be so lucky to live as long as Ann Nixon Cooper, what change will they see? What progress will we have made?

This is our chance to answer that call. This is our moment.

We're engaged!

I'm surprised this is the first I've written anything on here yet! Sometimes it's just hard for me to breathe! I have to stop, sit down and pinch myself.

Something that I've caught myself doing numerous times, and it's the most amazing feeling in the world. I'll be sitting in class or walking to the bus and all of a sudden I get a huge smile on my face and I replay the events of that night over and over again in my head.

3 p.m.
Oh, it is love
MY RING
Ryan
Blue..

All of these things trigger a huge smile at any moment.

BUT, don't get it wrong, I can't stop smiling. This is just a bigger smile that includes butterflies and most often, tears of joy.

Too long

Too long and I'm disappointed with myself. Of course part of the only reason I'm even doing it now is to put off the inevitable of a one page paper, five page paper and sometime in my lifetime a reporting story that NO ONE seems to want to help with.

Most exciting news in all of life right is that my Rays are going to the World Series! I couldn't be happier, well I could, very easily, BUT this is sooo exciting! Best part is that Allie and I are heading down to Tampa on Thursday just to take part in the experience of a World Series! It's going to be amazing!

Other than than, Ryan postponed his trip until Florida/Georgia weekend, so at least he gets to come hang out there and I'm super excited for that, although I would've liked a few days with just my smooshy.

Also, he may not come for Thanksgiving so that is really bumming me out. But, I have these three papers to write this week, and another 2 to write next week on top of 3 exams, so there is a very good chance I will be MIA for a little bit!

IMC = BUSY

My goal is to get an internship this summer. Preferably in the sports field, but maybe I will just volunteer. At any rate, I have the busiest October of my life so sorry about the lack of posts.

I'm looking for input on Integrated Marketing Communications and whether or not it strengthens the role of Public Relations in an organization.

Also, I didn't get Georgia tickets, so life MUST have some blessing in store for me, because this is getting ridiculous FLA.

Gators

I got an LSU ticket through unclaimed tickets.

A $16.00 LSU ticket.

And I got better seats than my friends... row 11.

I'm having a lucky weekend.

And that translates to a Gators win over the Tigers.

GOOOOOOO GATORS!

Frustrated

I want to go to the LSU game. I'm so mad at all you mean people trying to sell your $10 student ticket for $150 ... I'm poor like you guys! Otherwise, I'm sitting alone at home watching it..

Teams

If the Rays don't beat the White Sox, I may have to rethink my sport allegiances.

First of all, the Tigers finished in LAST place in the division, ridic. The Lions are absolutely TERRIBLE.. worst team ever. The Jaguars lost yesterday, and almost every week for that matter. The Gators have looked incredibly bad even though they have only lost one game. Basically, I have the Rays going for me... and so if they don't make, I don't know what to do.
